Forever and Always
We are finally saying goodbye, It feels like forever that I have been attached to this series. Many of you may not know I am the original and still raw provider to this series, I have supplied every chapter raw since chapter 1 to this final chapter 16. I remember when I was working for wow scans and I tried to convince them to take on a trap project about a demon, and they turned the series down, saying it was stupid. I spent literally 6 months looking for a group to do the series, me and my raws shopped various groups until my friends as Soba scans the group I was working for at the time, specifically ziggy and LD said yes to the series. Devil-chan found a home, with me providing raws she lived on and even after the death of Soba-Scans I shopped again and Ziggy found it a home for one chapter with UTW and the defunct manga group they attempted to restart. Then as we all know UTW shortly kicked our devil-chan to the curb and she came back home to me. Once again holding her raws, I finally decided to keep her this time with me, since by than I had just started my own manga group and along with Hachimitsu scans my partner in crime we kept the series going strong. Now we have reached the end and I would like to thank all the people involved in moving this series forward, TY Ziggy, TY LD, Staff at Soba and UTW, and especially Hachimitsu for the kickass TL and QC in the final chapters and more! We have reached the end of a great series. Everyone Please enjoy, as we present the final chapter of The Secret Devil-chan.

the hardest part was finding a group to take a chance on an unknown trap series from a new magazine called waai, back in the day 99 percent of editors and translators didnt want to touch a trap series because they thought the gay would rub on them, I went to literally 14 group before soba offered to take the series as long as I provided the raws for it and some of their other series, and at the same time I learned to be a editor with them while they kept the series moving forward, I never would of thought that I would provide the entire series from chapter 1 to 16 in terms of raw scans, and I got to enjoy being the one the one to edit the final chapters of the series I fought for. It makes me happy and sad to see it go

ReplyDelete4 long year, 4 chapters a years, constantly making sure the series made it to the end, wow I have been in scanlation for a very long time in terms of being raw provider, than clean, than typesetter, to full editor lol I kept her alive

I've been following this series since ever and it drove me nuts when I had to look for chapters and see them off sites, hopping to different groups. I was hopping it didn't end up like Pretty Face for lack of interest, but it didn't and I'm really happy to see it finished.
I have personally been with you since chapter 3, and have awaited each chapter every 3 months. It's been a fun ride, man. Thanks for all the years, you have my eternal gratitude.

Thank you very much for keeping the series alive. It was the first "trap" series I ever read and really opened my mind (at last a bit more, wasn't much opposed to it beforehand) to the whole crossdressing/gay issue. Now it has become assosiciated with awesome :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been following this manga for a long time... Since Soba Scans had it, actually! I'm so happy you kept through it to the end, and we got to see it finish out in English. Thank you for your hard work and for bringing this into another language! I'm sad to see it go, but it was a great run.
